Christmas Decorations -

Welll I dont think I really have a favorite Christmas decoration. I just like pretty much all of them. They're all so pretty and they always make you feel happy, or at least I think so. The thing I like the most outside is the stuff around my front porch. The green garland with lights and big red bows. It just looks like the classic Christmas decoration. I also like the inside. We have stockings over our fireplace and a big Christmas tree in front of the window, which are two other classics. I just love this time of the year. It's my favorite even though I hate the cold. Well of course unless it snows then I love it. But yeah, I just can't wait until Christmas!

Christmas Gift -

One thing I remember that I really wanted for Christmas was this one Thumbelina doll. On Christmas I woke up and kept tearing through the presents hoping it was the doll. Every year me and my sister open presents together and when we're done with one we put them in a pile. Welll i pull out this one present then i look beside me and my sister has the doll i wanted! I got really upset and didn't wanna open anymore. But mom made me and the very last present was that doll i wanted!

Santa Claus.

I remember when I find out about Santa not being real. It was about in 3rd grade and some kids at school were talking about how he wasn't real. I got very upset and went to my mom and asked her and she said It's whatever you believe. Which really didn't give me any hope. I think I probably knew before then though and just didn't wanna believe it because I've always been the kind of person that found it hard to believe things like that.

Thanksgiving Dinner -

Next Thursday is Thanksgiving. I love it. Mostly because I get to hang out with my family and be around all those people that I never get to see and all the really good food we get to eat. I cant wait to eat my great grandmas chicken and dumplings they are so goood and everybody in my family loves them. That's one of the main reasons she cooks. Some of my favorite food on Thanksgiving is:
Ham
Turkey
Dumplings
Mashed Potatoes
Macoroni
Corn
Stuffing
Rolls
Wellll and then there's desserts. I dont like very much there except pumpkin pie or banana pudding.

Music!

Music is one of the most important things to me. I dont think I could go a day without it. I mean i know i could I just wouldnt like it very much. I listen to everything but my favorite by far is country, not the real old country stuff more of the new kind. Lyrics of songs that mean something are what I really like. Songs that talk about life and I love songs that can touch people so deep it'll make them wanna cry or just give them chills. I also like songs that have fun music. Music patterns that make you wanna dance or rock out, haha. I think music is our way of communicating and telling true feelings about things. I believe a song is something from somebody's heart.

Stuck in a Rut -

I haven't blogged much this month. I'm not sure why exactly mostly because I've been completely exhausted for some reason. Not much has happened lately just the usual; school and doing regular weekend junk. It's funny how sometimes life can just be the same broing routine every day and we kind of talked about that in class today. About getting into ruts. And not realizing the good that happens every day. I think i'm gonna start looking for that. Another thing I'm gonna do is start looking for a job so when I get one that will just add to the boringness of my days or i may be pleasantly surpirsed about how it will change me. I know it will make me be more responsible also I'll get to get my license which will give me more freedom. And that I cannot wait for.

Weeeekend!

So this weekend was pretty boring. I didnt do much and it was Halloween! I mean you're supposed to have fun right? But plans got changed and I ended up walking around with my little sisters and one of their friends which sucked. Because they got candy and i didnt get anything! But oh welll. Yesterday I got to see my bestfriend from Daviess County so that was all good. Also I learned a few things about who was important in my life and instead of feeling loss for losing someone I feel like I actually gained hapiness and a feeling of freedom. So from now on i'm gonna be happier and it's great.

Black Cat Story

The black cat twitched it's tail twice. It hissed. Then...
it arched it back and let out a horrible human-like scream. The cat pounced onto the back of a strange man. The man howled in pain as the cat dug it's nails into his back. He managed to shake the cat off and ran to get away. The man had just been walking in the woods as he always did when he had to think about things when the attack happened. It was strange, nothing like that had ever happened to him. But yet something had felt weird all night. As he walked to his house and went to the steps his heart was beating kinda fast like he felt as if there was something following him as he turned around he saw a shadow coming from behind the big tree in his front yard. He started to panic and fumble with his keys but his hands were shaking so much he couldn't get the key to fit in the lock. Finally he got it to work and he ran inside locking all the doors and windows he hears somebody start knocking on the door then since there was no reply the person or thing on the other side starts banging on it. A sudden urge of courage came over him and he looked out the small crack in the door to see his bestfriend standing there!

Fall Break

My fall break was kinda boring. I didn't do much except the last weekend I went to Louiville, it was pretty neat. I went to see this Titanic exhibit and it had real artifacts that they had found. There were post cards, dishes, pots and pans. There was even champagne and wine bottles that still had drinks in it from back then. There was also perfume bottles from a man who was on board that ahd samples he was going to bring to America. I really like this kind of thing so I enjoyed it. I also went to the world's longest go-kart race track, it was like a mile and a half long. We also went top Bardstown to My Old Kentucky Home and looked at that house.
Besides going to Louiville I just hung out with friends and family at home. It was just nice to have a break from school.

Halloweeen!

Describe Halloween sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touches.

Halloween time is a reallly fun time of the year. It's starting to get cooler. Leaves are changing colors because it's turning to fall. Sights of Halloween would be all the scary things, liek jackolanterns, ghosts, witches, scary houses, zombies, vampires, kids in costumes and all those things. Sounds of Halloween would be screams, TRICKORTREATS coming from neighbors, and i always think of scary creeking doors and things.

Scary Movies

I've seen some scary movies in my life. I think what makes movies scary are ones that can be real like things that can be really happened. One of the scariest movies I've ever seen was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I've seen many more but that was just weird. I think it scared me because it was a true story and it could happen to anybody out there.

Ghost Story

Welll i've never really had any experiences with ghosts. But i just love hearing my dad tell me stories from when he was a kid or teenager. He grew up it Rockport and he always tells me about this graveyard, when my dad was a kid they told him about a story of some of his friends driving past this graveyard when the back of the van flew open when they stopped to close it they saw some weird things from a building near the graveyard when they look into it to see they see alot of ghosts gathered, of course scared they run away. Not too long ago my dad told me and my bestfriend about it then drove through the same graveyard. It was around Halloween because we had just been to the haunted house in Evansville, But anyways ss we were driving through it all of a sudden got reallly cold and goosebumps started to pop up on everyones necks and arms. It was sooo scary. My dad also has stories from one of his old girlfriends houses, he always told me she was kind of weird, but he said that in her house the door knob of the bathroom from her room would just move, and their wouldn't be anything on the other side of the door. I just love hearing ghost stories they're so interesting especially if they are supposedly real. Although it is kind of freaky, i just love Halloween and all the scary things that are associated with it.

Childhood Fear

After listening to the story There's Something In My Attic it made me think of things that I was scared of as a kid. I used to be afraid of things or somebody hiding under my bed. I was also scared of something in my closet. But besides those i wasn't really afraid of that much except the dark after I saw or thought of something scary. I still remember times that I was so scared then that now I look back on and just laugh because it was so funny.

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn. -- Elizabeth Lawrence

Autumn is a season of change. To me it means that things can start over. It's the time where its still warm from summer but it's getting cooler to because winters just around the corner. I loveeee autumn. Everything is so pretty and the leaves always change to 2 of my favorite colors, yellow and orange. I just love thanksgiving and halloween and theyre during falll. i like how on nights it gets cold and u can wear warm clothes and go outside and just chill.

Never be afraid to sit awhile and think.

This would be a very wise quote from Lorraine Hansberry's book A Raisin in the Sun. We just happen to be reading this play right now. Anyways, this quote I just absolutelty love, because i realize how important it is to just sit and think about things sometimes. Just thinking and doing nothing else can really help. It'll make you realize what you need from life. It can also help make problems easier, it can help you decide what you need to do to fix whatevers wrong with you. Its just relaxing and nice because you know it's just you there at a place in your mind where nobody else could even possibly know.

“Act quickly, think slowly.” Greek Proverb

I think that this is some very wise advice. People who act slowly and think slowly also probably dont have a good outcome, thinking slowly is a good thing it gives time to think through what you're going to do and what you want to do. If you wait too long to act though, it's not going to pay off because 99% of the time you've always missed your chance to make things better or fix things that have gone way more off track than what you originally planned. Then you have the other part of the people who act and think quickly. When people do this they dont realize what they're doing, they act quickly and dont think out their thoughts which most of the time causes it not turn out the way of what they really wanted.

Is it easier to fight with dignity or surrender with shame?

I think that it is easier to fight with dignity, than surrender with shame. If you fight it's going to make you stronger and feel better. Sometimes surrendering is easier but only if it's not going to make you ashamed with yourself, because that is one of the worst feelings anyone could have. Surrendering is bad if you have something you need to stand up for, something you want to fight for because it's important to you. Fighting with dignity and everything you feel will get you places in life.

Money!

Money - What does it mean to you? Is it important or not? How much is enough? How does the lack of it impact life? Does it make the world go round?

Money. Everybody needs money but everybody looks at the importance differently. Everybody also has different amounts of money and values it differently. To me, money is important right now, we have all of our money in a law suit that's been going on for a couple of years. It stresses my parents out so it is important to me, because it pays the bills and extra things we need. I do believe money won't make you happy though. Money can buy things but it's not as important as the people in your life. Lack of money is a problem most of the time, and if we didn't have it no, the world would not be going around as smoothly as if there was money. There would be no economy and therefore goods and services would be harder to get and things like that.

A family that laughs together stays together.

Laughter is one of the main things that unify us. Laughter is one of the most important things in my life. I am a huge fan of laughing so hard i cant breathe. There are so many things that make me laugh, inside jokes, family and friends. Just hearing my family and friends laugh about something or even somebody i dont really know laugh, always makes me laugh. So i guess that means laughing is contagious.

Do what you love, Love what you do, leave the world a better place, and dont pick your nose -- Jeff Mallett

Welll this an interesting quote. The first part, do what you love, love what you do is actually normal. I think this should be true in everyones life. The second part, leave the world a better place, is also a good thing. Its saying that everybody should leave the world different when its their time to go. Hopefuloly for the better, its saying everybody has the ability to change somehting and should take that oppurtunity every chance they get. The last part, dont pick your nose, is just a funny thing to add.

Home

Home. The most comfortable place to be, to almost everyone. No matter what I do, what happens or anything, I know i can always go back home. It means absolutely everything to me. I've also learned home isn't actually about my house I live in it's about the people who are there when i walk through the door.

Tenants of vitreous abodes, ought not hurl lithoidal fragments

In other words people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

When a person is always finding the bad in other people that usually means one of two things or both. It either means that they have no self confidence or they are just plain mean. Although everyone is probably guilty of this, some people do it just too hurt feelings and that's when it begins to look bad. Me along with i do believe everyone else who's ever been around other people have been hurt by someones words. It could be friends, family, boyfriend/girlfriend or even strangers that hurt your feelings, but you just gotta get through it.

Precipitancy creates Prodigality

I know you're sitting there thinking what does that mean? Another and much more modern way of saying this would be haste makes waste. Sometimes being in a hurry can pay off but other times its deffinately made matters worse for me. Most of the time being in a hurry can just waste things like if youre hurrying on a project and mess up you're just going to have to do it over and therefore wasting even more time and products to do it. Being in a hurry can also cause alot of stress. This is kind of like procrastination, me like everybody else is guilty of procrastinating sometimes And i admit I am kind of bad about it. So I know from experience that waiting until the last minute is not alwats going to turn out into a beautiful product.

Friendship Doubles Joy and Halves Grief

Friendship is an amazing thing. Good friends are hard to find these days. Real friends aren't gonna be there just for the fun times but they will be there through the hard times too. A proverb that I like is "friendship doubles joy and halves grief" i could not agree more with this. I think this could have many meanings but to me its saying that if youre having a really bad day youre friend can help, like if you're doing something you dont really want to do your friends are going to be there for you. Antoher thing is that if you're having fun by yourself a friend can even double it. Friends just make life better all around and i have some of the best.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Some people are polar oppposites and some people could pass as twins. Many people in my family are the opposite of me. We have different views on things and just all around different personalities. My mom is most like me. This causes problems sometimes, we are both stubborn and that means when we have a disagreement it blows way out of porportion mostly because we both never want to end our side of the argument. We both also have the same sense of humor. Some things people don't think are funny at all, we find hilarious. This is one of the good points of being alot alike. We always have something to tell the other one that we know for sure will make us laugh. My mom always helps me with my problems and it's good because she always knows what she needs to say to make things better or help me even if it doesn't make me feel as good as i'd like then it always helps me in the long run.

Family

My family is the number one thing in my life. I've learned that boyfriends and sometimes even best friends who you thought would never leave, do. Family is the one thing in my life that hasn't changed on me yet. My family is different and we all have so many different personalities that it's hard to believe we all can live in the same house together without killing each other. In my family im the oldest, alot of people might think that'd be the way to live but it's not. I mean I love being an older sister for my two little sisters and all but it's just really stressful. Like every other family there are fights and disagreements but they've been there through everything and i got to love them.
